MUSEC ENGAGEMENT WITH DENKYIRA BISSA CHIEF-UDEMA


The Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) in the Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Ebenezer Forson Appiah had an engagement with Denkyira Bissa Chief and reps. of both parties on Thursday, 20th June 2024 at the Municipal Chief Executive’s Office in Dunkwa-On-Offin.
MUSEC Members in a closed-door meeting with Naa Mohamed Issakah-Denkyira Bissa Chief discussed issues surrounding the Enskinment of a new Denkyira Bissa Chief. After the closed-door meeting, MUSEC Members met with both parties reps. and Naa Mohamed Issakah- Denkyira Bissa Chief.
Supt. Bernard Norgah-Municipal Police Commander disclosed that MUSEC stands for peace. He indicated that MUSEC is there for peace, security and stability where there are troubles. He added that MUSEC does not enstool or destool chiefs. He noted that as brothers and sisters of one family, they should settle their differences. He appealed to Naa Mohamed Issakah- Denkyira Bissa Chief as a father to make peace prevail among his people.
 Naa Mohamed Issakah-Denkyira Bissa Chief disclosed and assured MUSEC Members and reps. of both parties that he will settle the matter. He indicated that he will not sit down as a father for misunderstanding among his children to destroy the peace they have enjoyed for so long. He added that peace, unity and harmony will prevail among his people and in the Municipality.
 The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Ebenezer Forson Appiah urged both parties reps. to maintain peace and stability among them and in the community. He disclosed that both parties should support Naa Mohamed Issakah-Denkyira Bissa Chief for a peaceful resolution and cohabitation among them. He indicated until the matter is settled, the Enskinment of a new Denkyira Bissa Chief has been put on hold.
He added that Naa Mohamed Issakah-Denkyira Bissa Chief as a matter of urgency should meet his people and report the outcome of their meeting to MUSEC Members. He noted that a Five (5) member committee was constituted to help make an audit of the land which forms part of the issues raised by both parties.         
The engagement was to enable the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) reach a collaborative resolution for peace, unity, stability, harmony and cohabitation among the people in the Municipality.
