ORIENTATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ASSEMBLY MEMBERS-UDEMA
The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development in partnership with the Institute of Local Government Studies is embarking on a Two (2) day nationwide Orientation and Training Program for all Hon. Assembly Members in all MMDAs from September 24th – October 19th, 2024.
The Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly had its turn of the Orientation and Training Program for its Hon. Assembly Members on Monday, 30th September 2024 and Tuesday, 1st October 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Conference Hall in Dunkwa-On-Offin.
A self-introduction of participants was led by Dr. Abdul Hamid-Team Leader Institute of Local Government Studies.
Hon. Akwesi Owusu Antwi-Presiding Member of the Assembly welcomed everyone especially Hon. Assembly Members. He apologized for the absence of the Municipal Coordinating Director and the Municipal Chief Executive. He disclosed that it was not their intention but they have to attend to an equally important national assignment.
Mad. Grace Edem Alifo-Assistant Director 1 on behalf of the Municipal Coordinating Director and the Municipal Chief Executive welcomed everyone especially the team from the Institute of Local Government Studies. She wished all Hon. Assembly Members a fruitful orientation and training program.
Series of presentations were made by Dr. Abdul Hamid-Team Leader Institute of Local Government Studies and Dr. Nelson Felix Ansah-Facilitator Institute of Local Government Studies.
The team from the Institute of Local Government Studies was made up of Four (4) members led by Dr. Abdul Hamid-Team Leader, Dr. Nelson Felix Ansah-Facilitator, Mr. Ernest Darko-Program Administrator and Mr. Sam Keli-Driver.
