At Denkyira Akyempim: On Tuesday, 25th January 2022, The MCE Hon. Ebenezer Forson Appiah handed over the newly built JHS Classroom block to the GES to start JHS at Akyempim MA Basic School.
In a short ceremony at Akyempim, GES Directer of UDE, urged the Chiefs, Elders, people of Kyekyewere and the head teacher of Akyempim MA Basic School to ensure the building is maintained.
The MCE, Hon. Ebenezer Forson Appiah also thanked the former MCE (Hon, Isaac Awuah) for the good work he started for him to hand over the block. He said the funding was from DPAT accessment. he said he was happy because it was the first time a JHS will start at Akyempim and the leader of the community should ensure culture of maintenance and prevent people from using the school as access root to their homes. He also reiterated that the Assembly will keep supporting the community.
The chief of Akyempim thanked the MCE and promised to take good care and maintain the block and also ensure its purpose is met.
The Assembly member gave vote of thanks and requested that the MCE and the Assembly should help the community on a kindergatin project they have started.
