Management of UDEMA, Core staff, and Representatives in charge of the TREE project had a virtual meeting on 23-02-2022 10:00am at the office of the MCE to addresse challeges of the TREE project and the way forward.
TREE (Tax Revenue for Economic Ehancement) Project is a revenue mobilisation project sponsored by the Netherlands Government to support government agenda of Ghana beyond aid, to support Asembly's in revenue mobilisation. etc. The software created for the project by the TREE is (taxman).
The project seeks to aid assembly's in data collection and creation, minimise loopholes in revenue mobilisation electronically or manually, aid in bill distribution, use of tablet computers in data collection and bill distribution, support assembly's with some computers, software, training, and to increase revenue.etc.
The project started in UDEMA in 2020 and the assembly used the project to distribute and collect property rate in 2021 and have encounted some form of challenges hence the need to have a virtual meeting with the Technical Team of the TREE project for solutions and way forward.
At the end of the virtual meeting, most challenges were addressed, the MCE and the MCD thanked them for their support and encouraged the Team to continue to support the assembly.
