The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) have procured motorcycles to Regional Coordinating Councils for assemblies to be given to assembly members and government appointees to aid their work in thier areas.
The Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly on 1st March 2022 received 42 motorcycles from the Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC) to all current assembly members and government appointee within the municipality.
Today, 2nd March 2022 at about 11:30am, The Municipal Chief Executive: Hon Ebenezer Forson Appiah and the Municipal Coordinating Director: Mr. Asumah Braimah Adam handed over the motorcycles to Hon Osman Adams: Zongo Electoral Area Assembly Member who represented the Presiding member to recieve the motorcycles on behald of assembly members and the government appointees.
The MCE told the assembly members to use the motorcycles for its intended purpose. Hon Osman Adams also thanked the MCE and reiterated that, it will be used for the intended purpose.
The motorcycles are to aid assembly members in carrying out their duties in their areas and attend to calls and meetings on time.
