On Tuesday 24th May 2022, the first meeting for DPHEMC for the year 2022 was held at the Municipal Assembly and in attendance was the MCE, Municipal Health Director, Peace Council representative and other key individuals of the Committee.
The meeting started at 10:00am and the minute for the previous meeting was read.
The Municipal health director gave an update on covid of which he gave a report of relatively low cases of covid cases since the outbreak of the disease. He again said currently there's no case of covid in the district but the need for the people of upper Denkyira municipality to get vaccinated in other to protect themselves and their family from future outbreak.
The issue of people selling expired products in the municaplity was also raised and measures to address this issue was discussed.
Again the issue of drainage system especially around the hospital was also tackled and the need to look at it since the raining season is here.
Lastly the Municipal Health director talked about the month of May being Yellow Month to bring awareness to Neonatal Jaundice. He again reiterated the support the hospital need in purchasing a Fire Fly(Phototherapy machine) - Machine used to cure children with Jaundice.
