Training of Asikuma Zonal council members
On 8th September 2022 morning hours, the MCE and MCD dispatched a team from the assembly to Asikuma to train the Zonal council members there on:
1. Administration functions of the Council
2. Roles and functions of the Zonal council
3. Revenue Mobilization, Budgeting and Audit of the zonal council.
The Facilitators were:
1. Mr Nicholas Akowuah (Assistant Director 1) 2. Miss Hameeda Otabil ( Municipal Snr Planning Officer)
3. Mr Peter Afrifa (Municipal Snr Internal Auditor)
4. Miss Comfort Araba Crentsil (Municipal Snr Budget Analyst)
It's is a requirement in establishment of Zonal councils. Earlier on during the 3rd session assembly meeting, the MP for UDE Hon Dr. Festus Coffie asked the MCD of UDE when the training of the Asikuma Zonal Council was to come on.The MCD promised the house to do the training on 8th September 2022 ie.a week after the assembly meeting.
Thanks to management of the assembly for such a swift action.
The assembly member for the area, Hon. Kwame Nsowah Salvation ensured the success of the training, most questions raised were answered by the team.
