MUSEC MEETING WITH SMALL SCALL MINERS ASSOCIATION ON ''GALAMSEY''
On 13th October 2023 at 11:00am, The Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) led by the Municipal Chief Executive met with the leaders of Small Scall Miners Association on the ''fight'' against illegal mining ''GALAMSEY'' in the municipality.
Most of the discussion was centered on the illegalities on the Offin River, its medium and long term effect and ways to STOP the menace.
The MCE informed the association of thier full compliance to Mining Laws and renewal of their licence in their operation in the municipality.
HE informed them a meeting with the Denkyira Traditional Council on same subject and requested the support of the Asociation on the subject.
