ESOKO undertakes training on Ghana National Household Register 

The Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) is a unit of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) withthe mandate to create a single National Household Register,  a database of the poor and vulnerable Households, from which social Protection programmes in Ghana will select their beneficiaries. 

The Objective of the registry is to:

1.compile a credible database of he poor and vulnerable in Ghana to make it easy for social protection programmes to their beneficiaries.

2. Increase transparency and accountability I'm the targeting of beneficiaries of social protection programmes in Ghana 

3. Eliminate duplication of effort.  All MDAs involved in the implementation of pro-poor interventions will not have to undertake targeting or register poor Households since this information will be available I  the GNHR's database

4.increase the knowledge on issues around poverty and vulnerability 

5. Contribute to the institutional strengthening of MoGCSP through the implementation of a reliable and modern system of social information

 

The ESOKO is a contracted company engaging in employing Supervisers, enumerators, field officers for the data collection exercise for GNHR

Months ago ESOSKO had opened an online application portal for eligible persons to apply, an interview was conducted in the UDE assembly hall. 

Selected candidates were sent messages via sms.

Training on data collection was started today, Monday 31st October 2022 at the CHURCH OF PENTECOST ABANKESIESO.

The MCE for UDE opend the training programme and requested of trainees to go and collect accurate data for the municipality such that the poor and vulnerable will benefit
